Food manufacturing facilities rely on stable laboratory operations and precision equipment to maintain product quality and safety. During earthquakes, laboratory instruments, shelving, and testing equipment may slide, topple, or become damaged, resulting in operational downtime and potential product loss.
To strengthen earthquake preparedness and support business continuity planning (BCP), this food manufacturing facility introduced Proseven seismic restraint solutions for laboratory equipment and storage shelving.
The facility needed to improve seismic safety for laboratory and testing equipment used in daily quality control operations. Because many devices are sensitive precision instruments, even minor movement during an earthquake could interrupt testing processes or damage equipment.
The company also wanted to reduce the risk of shelving collapse and improve employee safety in the laboratory environment.
Equipment: Incubator
Seismic brackets: Anti-Seismic Restraint Straps
Fixing method: The incubator was secured against earthquakes using one (1) set of four (4) “Anti-Seismic Restraint Straps” attached to the sides of the incubator and the underside of the shelf top.
The shelf was also secured against earthquakes using “Anti-Seismic Restraint Strap with Gel Pads for Shelves” attached to the floor.
The “Anti-Seismic Restraint Straps” can be used to secure objects weighing up to 50 kg against earthquakes.

Equipment: Dry Heat Sterilizer
Seismic brackets: Anti-Seismic Restraint Straps
Fixing method: The dry heat sterilizer was secured against earthquakes using one (1) set of four (4) “Anti-Seismic Restraint Straps” attached to the sides of the sterilizer and the frame of the stand.
As shown in the photo, the straps were installed on the frame and underside of the top plate of the stand, as there was no space to install them on the top plate itself.
The “Anti-Seismic Restraint Straps” are not attached directly above the exhaust vent, but are offset to prevent interference with airflow.

Equipment: Water Distillation Apparatus
Seismic brackets: NSD Type and Anti-Seismic Restraint Straps
Fixing method: The water distillation apparatus is secured against earthquakes using four (4) “NSD Brackets” attached to the sides of the apparatus and the top plate of the stand.
The table is also secured against earthquakes using “Anti-Seismic Restraint Straps” attached to the top plate and the wall.

The “Anti-Seismic Restraint Strap” can be used to secure a variety of objects, including equipment, appliances, and furniture.
It is easy to install and does not require any special tools.
