Hospitals must maintain safe rehabilitation environments even during earthquakes. Rehabilitation rooms contain a wide range of therapy tools, medical equipment, and storage racks that may shift or topple during seismic events, creating risks for patients and healthcare staff.
To improve earthquake preparedness and support business continuity planning (BCP), this private hospital installed Proseven seismic restraint solutions for rehabilitation room shelving and therapy equipment.
The rehabilitation room contained numerous occupational therapy tools and medical devices stored on open shelves for easy daily access. During earthquakes, there was concern that equipment and stored items could fall, scatter, or become dangerous projectiles.
The hospital wanted to strengthen patient safety measures while maintaining accessibility and usability of rehabilitation equipment during normal operations.
