Case Study at Lablatory – Anti-Slip Gel Sheet

Customer Requirement 1

We want a simple way to implement measures to prevent devices and containers from falling or tipping over during use. Since the equipment is not intended to be permanently fixed in place, it would be inconvenient if once secured, it could not be easily moved.

Using a thin adhesive sheet with different levels of adhesion on each side. The high-adhesion side is applied to the workbench, while the low-adhesion side is used to attach the equipment. This allows for easy removal of the equipment when needed, yet it remains stable and does not tip over or shift even during an earthquake. The sheet can be installed easily without any tools—just by sticking it on—making it a simple yet reliable solution that offers both secure fixation and easy relocation.

The thickness is just right. It provides a good sense of stability. Now we don’t have to worry about accidentally knocking things over or having them shift—it’s very reassuring.

Customer Requirement 2

We would like to prevent glass containers, such as beakers, from slipping off during the use of a lab jack.

The ultra-thin double-sided adhesive sheet is only 1 mm thick, so it doesn’t interfere with operation. By simply applying it to the lab jack, beakers can be securely held in place.

The container stays securely in place just by being set down, preventing any slipping. This has helped eliminate near-miss incidents and has made our work environment much safer and more reassuring.

In addition, unstable cylinders and glass containers can also be secured, allowing for safer and more reliable operation. Furthermore, the adhesive sheet can be easily removed and reapplied multiple times, making it convenient when changing the location of use.
